Based on the original BGA, our innovative close focus roof prism of the mid 1990's, today's 'Classic' models are the fifth generation in the series and offer superlative performance with sublime handling to the enthusiast on a budget of £400. With an optical system designed to provide comfortable viewing for long periods, current specifications include Oasis prism coating and PC phase correction for highest possible resolution combined with Opticron N-type multi-coating for superb colour contrast in low light.

Mechanically the binoculars use an alloy and polycarbonate main body structure and are nitrogen filled and fully waterproof to a depth of 5 metres. The contoured natural rubber armouring ensures a good level of protection but is shaped to reduce weight wherever possible. The results are felt in superb handling and balance with finished weights by far the lightest of any comparable instruments. Naturally BGA Classic binoculars provide full field for glasses wearers, 3-stage rotating retractable eyecups and click-stop right dioptre adjustment. Focusing is via glide-action wide wheel, geared for 540° or 1.5 turn from close focus to infinity with no more than half a turn required to focus from 6m to distance. Each BGA Classic undergoes the most stringent production control of all our equipment (in-line with DBA models) and is supplied with the assurance of a 30 year guarantee. Models supplied in leather case with 31020 rainguard & neoprene lanyard.
